Qua eten zit het bij Blend 32 zeker goed, maar de service was helaas ondermaats. Voor een viergangenmenu hebben we bijna 3,5 uur in het restaurant gezeten. Als het nu druk was geweest, had dat nog te begrijpen geweest, maar op een maandagavond met slechts vier bezette tafels – en tijdens het hoofdgerecht en dessert zaten we zelfs alleen in de zaal – is zo’n lange wachttijd echt niet acceptabel.

Het personeel kwam erg onervaren over. Wijn werd slordig ingeschonken en tafels werden afgeruimd en achter een gordijn opgestapeld. Jammer genoeg leek niemand te beseffen dat er een hele muur met spiegels was, waardoor je dit als gast perfect kon zien.

Het absolute dieptepunt? Tussen het voorgerecht en het tussengerecht liep er doodleuk een muis van de ene kant van de zaal naar de andere. De andere gasten zagen het ook, maar het personeel negeerde het volledig. Dit geeft natuurlijk geen al te beste indruk van de hygiëne.

Samengevat: goed eten, maar de service en het totaalplaatje laten veel te wensen over.

Voor ons was hier heel aangenaam ervaring.
Eten was heel lekker, service heel vriendelijk en atmosfeer aangenaam en rustig met mooi zicht op kathedraal van Antwerpen.
Af en toe zullen wij hier is passeren.

Horrible experience. I made a reservation for a group of 12 @12:30. The waitress “highly recommended” the Blend32 menu and we obliged. Alas! The starter was served at around 2:10pm. We started to feel uneasy when it was almost 3pm and there was no sight of the main course. All this time, the waitresses were busy attending to the other tables despite us calling their attention. The lady who seemed to occupy a higher position wasn’t very friendly when I talked to her. The excuse she made for having the crap service was that it was busy the day before (which of course does not justify poor service the day after). When I asked when the main course will be served, I was told to wait for 6 minutes. However, it was served 20 minutes later at around 3:10, and the steak was not good: the quality is akin to the ones used for stew. Most of us ordered the same dish and we ended up not eating it. Then for the finale dessert, they got it wrong again. I ordered creme brulee but they prepared sorbet so I have to wait for another couple of minutes again. Hence, with this kind of food and service, I cannot really recommend this place. There are other options around the area that offer good food and excellent customer service.

We were waiting for a table for 2 people until one became free, we were waiting more than 10 minutes for someone to at least come and bring us the menu and no one showed up and we had to leave, we understand that it was a very busy day due to the good weather, but it is unacceptable due to the waiting time and even making signs or calling the staff (there were 2-3 waiters) at no time did they come to the table, it is a call to the management of this place that they should respect and maintain a few the standards of service and their work staff, if they do not have enough staff or adequate staff to serve the tables on the terrace, which is small by the way, then do not open the space to the public, this is the first time this has happened to us in this place and the last.
